Jackson Shield Renewal 2007 happened

The passage of “Hurricane Dean” notwithstanding, the organizers of the annual Jackson Shield Football Event took a decision to proceed with the 2007 Renewal.

These games were held on Saturday, September-08-2007 at The Cornwall College Sports Complex, Montego Bay. The official results are:

Dacosta Cup Squad: Cornwall College (2)  vs. Munro College (2)
           Over 35:
Corn
wall College (2) vs. Munro College (1)

Cornwall College has therefore recaptured the Jackson Shield for the 2007/2008 season.

Commendation goes out to all those Munronians who competed and especially those who travelled to support the event.

More importantly, a decision was taken by The Cornwall Old Boys Association to commit all proceeds of the game to The Munro College “Hurricane Dean” Recovery Fund.

We, M.C.O.B.A, are most grateful to The Cornwall College Old Boys Association and especially to Mr. Patrick Reid, [former President C.C.O.B.A.], as this represents the first initiative in the recovery exercise for Munro College.
