Hampton 2007 graduate, Morriesha Muschette, who received 8 distinctions in her 8 units of CAPE done in 6th form, is the 2007 Emancipation Scholar.   Morriesha embodies all our forebears stood for in their struggles for emancipation, and very fitting that this honour should come to Hampton in its sesquicentennial (150th) year and in the bicentenary of the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade.

The 2006/07 Prizegiving was held in the new 6th form complex (named the Singhdom, after ace 6th form co-ordinator and Dean of Academics, Ramdeen Singh) and saw some outstanding achievements, including top CSEC performer with 11 1s, and top CAPE performer (Morriesha) with 8 1s over two years.

This year saw the largest pool of Upper 6th graduates, at 77, and all matriculated for tertiary education, with over 40 gaining admission to UWI, some on scholarships.  Others went to UTECH, NCU and overseas universities.

Congratulations Hampton!  Keep up the great work
